Monument of Oblivion: River of Lethe

Neda Saeedi and Nicholas Bussmann use building site elements to create a cycle of construction and destruction for this sound installation. At a time of intense debate around historical reckoning, the question of how we deal with monuments has also come into focus. These tensions are explored in Monument of Oblivion: River of Lethe at a site that, as a church ruin, conveys both permanence and absence, offering a powerful experience of collapse and new beginnings.
