Children of Sodomy

Children of Sodomy is a performance that confronts queer persecution and the historical mechanisms of witch hunts. Two performers are connected by a long braid of hair; they struggle against each other initially before realizing that liberation is only possible together. Here, hair represents identity, community, and ‘reclaiming.’ The performance also investigates the shifting meaning and social instrumentalization of the term ‘sodomy.’
