Licht und Lupe im Park

Have you ever really studied a tree up close? Get ready for a voyage of discovery through Stadtpark Lichtenberg’s Botanical Gardens with a camera obscura you build yourself. It’s a simple optical device that helps you make close observations of the natural world and draw cool pictures of trees and plants. Along the way, you’ll see broadleaf trees and evergreens like oaks, Norway Maples, and White Willows on the little island. When drawing in nature, the rule is simple: look closely! If you want to discover even more, you can make bark rubbings, scan the treetops with binoculars, or examine tiny leaves with a magnifying glass.
