Nina Fischer & Maroan el Sani present a new media installation in an exhibition curated by Christine Nippe. “Metakosmia” explores survival in a future environment rendered uninhabitable by extreme weather phenomena. The setting is “Biosphere 2,” an artificial habitat in the Arizona desert, where the artists joined resilience researchers working on climate change. As well as a two-channel video installation with a fictional narrative, they showcase the sonification of a drought experiment in the rainforest biome. Climate justice is demanded by nature itself.
