How “kinky” can painting be? As initiators, artists enter into a relationship with their art, they begin a partnership — wild, restrained, tender. As an act of love, paintings emerge from oil paint, sand, fur, bitumen or varnish as both a sensualization and a medium.  The sensual body of love in the form of painting is now perceivable by the outside world and is ready for communication with the viewer. Twenty-two artists from Germany and abroad approach these questions through figurative and abstract works with a variety of techniques and themes.
