Roof from Rūdninkai
The starting point for Serapinas’ work was an abandoned wooden house in rural Lithuania dating from the nineteenth century. He repurposes the timeworn materials for sculptural works that echo the language of formal minimalism. Serapinas engages with the interplay between traditional architecture and sculpture, unearthing the stories and histories inscribed in the materials.
